Marc Osswald

Marc received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005 and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2008, both from ETH Zurich. During his studies he focused on Control Systems, Robotics and Computer Vision. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Neuroinformatics within the Faculty of Science at the University of Zurich as a member of the
Neuromorphic Cognitive Systems group at the Institute of Neuroinformatics. Apart from the desire of understanding how the brain works, his interests involve the application of such knowledge for the development of artificial intelligent systems. Particularly, he is interested in robotic systems that are driven by neuromorphic hardware and perceive their uncertain environment with neuromorphic sensors such as artificial retinas for example.
