Dr. Themis Prodromakis

Themis is a Reader in Nanoelectronics and EPSRC Fellow within the Nano Research Group of the ECS department at University of Southampton. He previously held a Corrigan Fellowship in Nanoscale Technology, funded by the Corrigan Foundation and LSI Inc., within the Centre for Bio-inspired Technology at Imperial College London and a Lindemann Trust Visiting Fellowship in EECS UC Berkeley, collaborating closely with Prof Leon Chua. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a Member of the INE and the IET, and also serves as member of the BioCAS, Nano-Giga and Sensory Systems Technical Committees of the IEEE Circuits & Systems Society. His background is in Electron Devices and micro/nanofabrication techniques, with his research being focused on bio-inspired devices for biomedical applications. His hands on experience on fabricating and testing electronic devices by engineering and employing defects led to his latest involvement with memristors, demonstrating significant contributions in the field through in-house fabrication, characterisation, modelling and application. Themis is the PI and co-ordinator of PNEUMA.
