Professor Leon Chua's visit to CBIT

In September, Professor Leon Chua, EECS UC Berkeley-USA, spent a month at the centre for bio-inspired technology-CBIT, electrical and electronic engineering department at Imperial College London, on a Royal Academy Distinguished Visiting Fellowship. He contributed to the research conducted by Dr. Themis Prodromakis in the field of memristors.

Synaptic-like Dynamics of Volatile Memristors

In this talk Dr Prodromakis, co-ordinator of PNEUMA, describes how memristor's volatility can be employed to emulate short-term synaptic dynamics. The meeting is open to any members of the academic community with an interest in electronics and includes discussions on the current funding scene as well as presentations from recent recipients of eFuturesXD funding.
